In May 2018, the integrated body-worn and in-car camera system was installed and configured. System equipment included body-worn cameras, integrated in-car cameras, camera chargers, a wireless access point uplink, a video storage server, and associated software applications and databases.
Beginning Wednesday, June 6, 2018, all uniformed Cody Police Department Patrol Officers and Code Enforcement Officers will be wearing body-worn cameras along with integrated in-car cameras in all marked patrol vehicles (excluding Code Enforcement vehicles).
Beginning in June 2018 and continuing into July 2018, all officers equipped with body cameras will undergo extensive policy-driven training. Training sessions will include demonstrations for proper and appropriate use of body cameras, per departmental policy.
