The Recreation Division is focused on making the Paul Stock Aquatic and Recreation Center a safe place for local youth after school and on no-school holidays. Staff organizes a wide range of active and engaging programs each school day afternoon as well as on school holidays, promoting the values of awareness, access, and activity.
The foundation of our School's Out, Stay Safe program is based on the same Home Court Advantage that we follow at the After-School Activities Program (ASAP): safety, belonging, value, and courage. Our theme and message is "Come to the Recreation Center and STAY!"
STAY inside the Recreation Center
STAY in a group
STAY in the light
STAY in contact with your parents
STAY alert and aware of your surroundings
STAY confident and in control
Each afternoon, staff is available to engage with youth in gym games and other activities. ASAP is also based at the Recreation Center every day after school. For more information on this active and engaging program for children in kindergarten through 6th grade, please contact Youth Coordinator Kayla Rivers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Staff also organizes active games in the gym or pool, craft activities, and a free snack or lunch on no-school weekdays. These activities are freeto Paul Stock Aquatics and Recreation Center members or a daily fee ($4.50) for nonmembers. Nonmembers in need should inquire about donated guest passes for entry at the Front Desk.
A list of upcoming activities is available in our latest Recreation Times brochure.
These activities are possible thanks to donations from local businesses and community members. We welcome additional donated passes for kids who are unable to cover the facility entrance fee, as well as volunteers to interact with the kids and cash donations to purchase snack items. To volunteer or donate, please contact staff.
