Solid Waste assistance is available Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

The Solid Waste and Recycling Division, a component of the Public Works Department, collects refuse from residential and commercial customers within the Cody City limits. This is accomplished by following established routes using fully automated side-load equipment. All Cody customers receive solid waste collection service at least once per week. Residential routes are collected Monday through Friday and commercial routes are collected Monday through Saturday.  All waste is disposed of at the Park County Landfill.

The City's Recycling Center is a continually growing endeavor. Started by volunteers working from a local parking lot on a sporadic basis, it has grown into a large building operated by full-time City staff. The Recycling Center, located at 602 15th Street, accepts office paper, newspapers, cardboard, magazines, glass,plastics, and aluminum cans. Residents are encouraged to drop off their recyclable materials which are compacted and shipped to receiving locations in the region. The dedication to recycling increases the life of local landfills and decreases the cost for all residents and businesses to dispose of trash at the landfill.  For more information on recycling you can view the Recycling Center page.

Spring/Summer Rollout Schedule
Beginning May 1st the City of Cody Sanitation Staff will begin the Spring/Summer Rollout Schedule.  Rollouts will be emptied twice per week.  Customers whose rollout is normally picked up on Monday will have pick ups on Monday's and Thursday's.  Customers whose rollout is normally picked up on Tuesday or Friday will have pick ups on Tuesday's and Friday's.  Please have all rollouts out by 7:00 a.m.

Fall/Winter Rollout Schedule
Beginning October 1st the City of Cody Sanitation Staff will begin the Fall/Winter Rollout Schedule.  Rollouts will be emptied one time per week.  Customers whose rollout is being picked up on Monday and Thursday will have Monday only pick ups.  Customers whose rollout is being picked up on Tuesday and Friday will have Tuesday only pick ups.  Residents in Trailhead and Upland Subdivisions and on Big Horn Avenue, White Water Avenue and Blue Water Court will have Friday pick ups.  Please have rollouts out by 7:00 a.m.
