The City of Cody adopted the current Master Plan in September 1997 following a rigorous public process. Although updating the Plan is not required by Wyoming statute, the credibility and effectiveness of Cody's planning process does require that the plan be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
City staff, the Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board, and other have undertaken several reviews of the Plan during the course of the past 12 years, but no formal updates have been adopted. We are proud to say that most of the goals set forth in the current plan have been attained, hence the importance of a comprehensive formal review and update.
