The City of Cody is proud to own and operate a variety of public facilities available for groups of almost any size to use for a reasonable rate. Whether you are interested in hosting a birthday party in an aquatics center, a community auction in an auditorium or a family reunion in a park, our facilities provide flexibility for your special functions. The Cody Auditorium offers two separate rooms with a commercial kitchen suitable for catering. It is located one block from downtown Cody and just down the hill from the Paul Stock Aquatic and Recreation Center and the Victor J. Riley Community Events Center.
The main auditorium features more than 5,600 square feet of multi-use space and can be set up for such activities as dances, dinners, wedding receptions, craft festivals, commercial sales events or large meetings. This area can comfortably seat 300 guests for dinner or 500 for a large group meeting. It also features a stage area at one end.
The Cody Clubroom, adjacent to the main auditorium, is decorated in a western theme you might expect to see in Cody country. With more than 1,500 square feet, this room is popular among local service clubs who meet here on a regular basis.
Advance reservations are required for both the main auditorium and the Cody Clubroom. You may reserve these rooms up to one year in advance of an event by calling the Cody Auditorium at 307.587.4062 or emailing the Public Facilities Supervisor. A deposit is required at the time of the reservation. The City also offers a variety of rental equipment for use in either room to ensure your event is successful. Tables, chairs, televisions, projectors, public address systems, podiums, pipe and drape and other items are available upon request for an additional fee. This expansive building offers a variety of rental opportunities for company gatherings, birthday parties, school functions, educational seminars or other events.
Available room sizes range from a conference room with 528 square feet to three combined gymnasiums with 18,900 square feet of usable space.
In addition to rental space, the public may also reserve and use tables, chairs, projectors, televisions, bleachers, and pipe and drape. Fees vary on these rentals. Please contact the Recreation Center at 307.587.0400 for more details. The Recreation Center also coordinates the rental of a variety of recreation equipment for park use including horseshoes, bats, balls and other sport equipment, and volleyball systems.
