The Cody Police Department Patrol Division consists of three squads which are each supervised by a Sergeant.  The Officers of the Patrol Division are usually the most visible and the first to arrive on scene.  Patrol Officers provide the first response to a vast array of calls ranging from traffic complaints to violent crimes.

Many of the Patrol Officers provide services in addition to their regular patrol duties. These additional duties include Bicycle Patrol, K9 Unit, School Resource Officer, Bomb Team and Tactical Response Team.
