Streets Division of the Public Works Department
The City’s Street Division maintains an estimated 65 miles of streets and alleys within the municipal bounds. This includes patching potholes, sweeping streets, striping & signing streets, cleaning storm drainage systems, removing snow and ice during winter and chip sealing designated streets each summer. The Street Division is also actively involved in coordinating and carrying out the City’s annual Fall and Spring Cleanup programs. They are also available to assist with a variety of annual community events including the July 3 & 4 parades.
Vehicle Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department
The Vehicle Maintenance Division maintains the City of Cody's entire fleet of owned equipment. The fleet includes approximately 85 vehicles ranging from police cars to large dump trucks and bucket trucks. In addition, the Division maintains 28 other pieces of equipment ranging from Bobcats to loaders. The staff is also responsible for bidding and purchasing all new City vehicles and equipment.

Please remember that if you are digging on your property or in the City right-of-way to Call Before You Dig at 800-849-2476. This free service of One-Call of Wyoming contacts all area utility companies to mark the utility lines BEFORE you begin to dig. This service is essential for safe digging within the city limits.
