The City of Cody has over 20 developed parks and nearly 9 miles of developed trails and pathways. Cody's neighborhood, community, regional and specialty parks offer features and amenities for groups of all sizes and users of all ages and interests.

The City of Cody is committed to providing attractive facilities for the community. Cody regularly plays host to regional and state events in its parks, including musical concerts, craft fairs, soccer tournaments and balloon festivals. The three developed pathway systems were designed to meet the needs of many users. If you enjoy rollerblading with a lakeside view or jogging along the scenic Shoshone River, your recreational needs will be met in Cody!

Beck Lake Park - 2401 14th Street
Beck Lake Park offers residents and visitors alike a combined experience of fishing, picnics, trails and waterfowl and wildlife viewing.  Further information can be found in the Parks & Pathways - Trail Systems section of the website.

Circle Drive Park - 16th Street
This park provides an attractive green streetscape for 16th Street. The park is not commonly occupied by people.  Its flowering crab apple trees are a beautiful welcome to Cody in the springtime.

City Park - 908 Sheridan
Amenities include play equipment, benches, restrooms, barbecue grills and tables. The park also offers a miniature golf course, tennis court, monuments, picnic shelter and a band shell providing concert events during the summer. 

Dacken Park - Kerper Boulevard North & South and 22nd Street
This park offers play equipment, outdoor basketball court, picnic space, barbecue grills, restrooms, shelters and places to park your bike. 

Don Little Park - 420 Canyon View Avenue
With large open green space, a play structure, basketball court, picnic shelter, barbecue grills and tables, Don Little Park will meet most recreational interests.

East Sheridan Softball Complex - 3708 Sheridan Avenue
The complex is a playfield consisting of 3 fields, playground area, concessions and restrooms with extensive parking and lighted fields.

Glendale Park - 1906 14th Street
Glendale Park is a centrally located park that offers playground equipment, tennis court, baseball & soccer fields, picnic shelter, basketball court, restrooms and lots of green grass to let the kids run and stretch their legs.

Greybull Hill - 17th Street
This urban green space welcomes visitors to Cody from Highway 120.  It offers a greenscape of small trees, flower beds, shrubs and park benches on both sides of the street.  During the winter, it is decorated with lighting to greet the holiday season.

Heart Mountain Hill - Heart Mountain Street
Another beautifully landscaped hillside streetscape, this area offers benches on the east side of the street, trees, bushes and decorative retaining walls.  It extends into Canal Park, which is under construction until 2006.

Highland Park - 2500 Carter Avenue
This neighborhood park offers play equipment and tennis courts, bar-b-que grills, picnic shelter, a basketball court and restrooms. 

Horseshoe Park - 1302 Horseshoe Drive
A small wwing set, picnic table, trees and a flower bed are included in the tiniest park in Cody!

Hugh Smith Park - 100 19th Street 
Hugh Smith Park is a beautiful park tucked away next to Cody's youth baseball complex.  It features a group shelter available for exclusive use by reservation, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playground and restrooms.  Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance by calling 307-587-0400.  Open container permits are generally allowed in this park.

Meadowbrook Park - Meadowlark Court
This small neighborhood oasis includes park benches and a landscaped grassy area.

Mentock Park - 901 Blackburn
Mentock Park is large enough and diverse enough to be a destination for many age groups. The park has play equipment, playing fields, benches and restrooms.  It also offers picnic shelters, picnic tables and a large barbecue for cook-outs. Mentock Park also features a 7,000 square foot skate park designed with a multi-use area for beginners, a street course, and a signature area containing a nine foot bowl for the more advanced skate boarders.  Mentock Park has hosted soccer tournaments, skateboard tournaments, an annual balloon festival and even a live broadcast for ESPN in 2005.

Nielson Park - 17th & 18th Street
Although small in size, this beautiful neighborhood park provides play equipment, a basketball & volleyball court, benches and picnic tables. 

Paul Stock Nature Trail - 801 Spruce Drive
The Paul Stock Nature Trail winds along the Shoshone River where eagles nest, ducks swim and the deer and antelope play.  There is adequate parking at the beginning of the trail and a restroom along the route.  Further trail details are available in the Parks & Pathways -Trail Systems component of the website.

Paul Stock Park - 836 Sheridan
This park is located adjacent to the City Park in downtown Cody, right next door to the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce, Cody Cupboard and the Cody Country Art League.  The park offers tennis courts with bleachers, monuments and benches.

River View Park - 901 River View Drive
A relatively new park, RiverView includes a climbing wall, picnic shelter, park benches and lots of room for kids to run around.

Shoshone Riverway Trail Access
Located near the Paul Stock Nature Trail, the Shoshone Riverway also winds along the Shoshone River, offering frequent sightings of waterfowl of all kinds and wildlife both large and small.  Further details about the trail can be found in the Parks & Pathways -Trail Systems section of the website.

Valley View Park - Wallace & Rio Vista
Although relatively small, this neighborhood park provides play equipment for children and a picnic shelter, barbecue grills and benches as well as basketball and soccer playing areas. 

Vietnam Memorial - 2519 26th Street
This beautiful park features the Wyoming State Memorial Wall.  It is supported through donations from local veterans who hold an annual run to the wall in Cody.  It has ample parking and seating as well as picturesque plantings. 

Youth Baseball Complex - 219 19th Street
This sport complex features 5 youth baseball fields for pee wee through legion teams.  Restrooms, bleachers and concessions are available at this complex which is conveniently located adjacent to Hugh Smith Park.

Trail Systems

Beck Lake Park - 2401 14th Street
Beck Lake Park offers over 2 miles of asphalt trails encircling two large reservoirs with spectacular views of Cody and beyond. The park also features a developed Braille trail, picnic shelters, handicapped accessible fishing piers, floating dock, amphitheater, and restrooms. 

Shoshone Riverway Trail - 1113 Riverview Drive
This 1.3 mile trail follows the scenic Shoshone River and is accessible from 2 locations in the community. The recycled asphalt base allows for walking, jogging and biking and a restroom is located at the west trailhead.

Paul Stock Nature Trail - 801 Spruce Drive
The Paul Stock Nature Trail features gravel trail totaling 1.3 miles in length. Additional amenities include park benches, interpretive markers and a restroom.
